Amidst the sunny side of the Harz situated, Bad Sachsa, offers with its villages Steina, Tettenborn and Neuhof, restored half-timbered houses surrounded by nature meadows, small rivers, lakes and ponds.
This makes Bad Sachsa an oasis of peace.

First recorded in 1238, Bad Sachsa got its charter of a city in 1525.

Apart from its own ski centre at the Ravensberg, the health care with its health spas is the town's main features.

If you want to relax, you should visit the Salztal-Paradise. There are many hiking paths around Bad Sachsa with wonderful forests. A climb onto the Ravens Mountain, is also well worth it. From there, you have a beautiful view over a large part of the Harz.
