The at the 'Knesebeck' established museum shows the technical development of the facility from the middle of the last century till the working end of the mine, which is subject of monumental protection.

The only in 1992, shut down ore mine was the last ore mine in the Oberharz.
The mining of ore is being demonstrated vividly.

The museum's landmarkis the 47m high tower. This unique monument was build around 1912 and was part of a water technical facility where for decades compressed air was produced for machines in the pit.

The expansive outdoor area is being dominated by the underground vehicles, which were formerly used in the Bad Grundner Erzrevier. One of the vehicles is one of the oldest electric mine locomotives. Many of the vehicles are positioned in a line reproduction of the most diverse systems 'in the assignment'.
