Badenhausen belonged to the rural district Gandersheim for 130 years before it came to the rural district Osterode through the so-called 'Harz Law' in 1972.
In the last years Badenhausen has become very well known through the famous Drag Show of 'Kim and Roy' at the restaurant Deutsches Haus. Regular shows of the duo take place here. They are very popular.
The trolley, pictured adjacent, reminds of the hard work in the mine 'Hilfe Gottes' in Bad Grund. Many citizens from Badenhausen earned there their livelihood.
